In preparing for our annual gala, I updated my boss about the number of volunteers we had. He suddenly started lamenting about how last year’s gala didn’t have enough volunteers, and how long it took to clean up the venue and so this year I needed to make sure we had enough volunteers.

After nodding and writing down the word “more” on my notepad, he stood up, stretched, and then said “Oh and let me know if there’s anything I can do that night to help.”
